Bill Vantine has been named the next President and CEO of LATA, effective Aug. 1.  He will replace Bob Kingsbury, who is retiring after more than 35 years at LATA. “I’ve had a good long career here,” Kingsbury told WC Monitor late this week. “I think he [Vantine] will do a great job.”

Vantine currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer at the ARES Corporation, and his previous positions have included working for United Space Alliance, a joint venture of Boeing and Lockheed Martin; Halliburton Company/I-NET; and NASA. “Bill has extensive executive experience and an impressive track record for winning new business with both the U.S. Federal Government and Commercial sector as well as a proven track record of successfully executing the resulting contracts,” Kingsbury said in a May 18 message to employees.
