Jacobs changing name of parent company

By ExchangeMonitor

Jacobs, which swallowed CH2M Hill in 2017 to boost its presence in the Department of Energy contracting market, planned to rebrand itself as Jacobs Solutions effective Aug. 29, the Dallas-based company disclosed Friday.

Presently known as Jacobs Engineering Group, the company told investors and regulators about the planned rebrand in an 8-k filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Jacobs planned to move its existing operations under the new shell company that was to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Aug. 29 under the company’s usual ticker symbol, J.

“The name of the new parent company, Jacobs Solutions Inc., more closely aligns with Jacobs’ public identity as a global technology-forward solutions company,” Jacobs wrote in the filing. The company also posted on its website some answers to what it said were frequently asked questions about the rebrand.
