IKE WHITE SERVING AS ACTING HEAD OF LOS ALAMOS FIELD OFFICE

By ExchangeMonitor

The National Nuclear Security Administration quietly changed out acting directors of the Los Alamos Field Office last month, swapping headquarters official Ike White for Sandia Field Office manager Geoff Beausoleil during the 16-day government shutdown. The NNSA did not publicize the switch, which was first revealed in a Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board site representative report released Friday. The DNFSB said White would serve as the acting manager of the field office for 60 days while a search for a permanent manager is completed. The Los Alamos Field Office has been without a permanent manager since Kevin Smith left for the Office of River Protection in January. Beausoleil had been serving as the director of both the Sandia and Los Alamos Field Offices. White previously headed up the Acquisition Strategy Team that examined options for the Sandia National Laboratories procurement.
