IDAHO TREATMENT GROUP LOSES $50,000 OVER KEY PERSONNEL

By ExchangeMonitor

Idaho Treatment Group, LLC, the managing contractor for the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project, has lost $50,000 in fee for the early departure of two key personnel ahead of a two-year commitment, the Department of Energy said last week. ITG lost $25,000 each—the maximum penalty under its contract—for the departure of former Environment, Safety and Health Manager Mark Wescoat and former Deputy Project Manager and Vice President for Business Norm Sandlin. Wescoat abruptly left ITG this spring after approximately a year on the job in the wake of an investigation by the DOE Idaho Operations Office’s Employees Concerns Program that found safety culture concerns at the AMWTP. Sandlin retired from ITG in early August after joining the contractor last May. ITG declined to comment on the fee reductions late last week.
