Idaho Citizen Advisory Board meeting called off

By ExchangeMonitor

The planned meeting this week of the Department of Energy’s Idaho Citizens Advisory Board has been called off, according to a recent notice on the panel’s website.

“Due to limited participation in our upcoming June [15] meeting and tour, DOE has decided it best to cancel the meeting,” according to a May 26 notice for the advisory board on cleanup at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). While the Oct. 20 meeting is slated to occur in Sun Valley, “conversations about potentially moving the venue in order to accommodate the board’s annual INL site tour in October are ongoing.”

The 12-member board meets quarterly and reviews actions by DOE and its remediation contractor, Jacobs-led Idaho Environmental Coalition.
