By ExchangeMonitor

The Energy Facility Contractors Group last week elected Honeywell International vice president David (DJ) Johnson chair of the group’s board of directors, according to a press release.

Johnson will succeed Michael Lempke of Huntington Ingalls.

The Energy Facility Contractors Group (EFCOG) also elected Mark Whitney, the president of Amentum’s national security group, its vice chair and Kelly Beierschmitt, deputy director of Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, its vice chair-elect.

Lempke and outgoing vice chair Sandra Fairchild, an Amentum executive, remain on the EFCOG board of directors, according to EFCOG. The elections occurred last week during EFCOG’s annual meeting in Arlington, Va.

Board members serve terms of up to three years. EFCOG, which has more than 140 member companies, represents contractors working with the U.S. Department of Energy and National Nuclear Security Administration, according to the press release.

Jeffrey Heath, associate laboratories director for infrastructure operations at Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico, and Eric Papaioannou, environment and safety director at Idaho National Laboratory, were elected to the EFCOG board for the first time. Robert Miklos, an executive vice president at Veolia Nuclear Solutions Federal Services was elected for his second term.

Re-elected to the board were Jack Craig, CEO of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and Sharon Marra, deputy director of operations at Savannah River National Laboratory in South Carolina.

Others re-elected were: Jeff Stevens, executive officer for Newport News Nuclear-BWXT Los Alamos in New Mexico; Mike Schlender deputy director for operations at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Washington state; and Mark Peters executive vice president for lab operations at Battelle Memorial Institute.
