Hanford Small Business Symposium Scheduled for Oct. 19

The Department of Energy and Hanford Site prime contractors will hold the annual Bridging Partnerships Small Business Symposium on Oct. 19 at the TRAC Center in Pasco, Wash. An evening reception is planned the day before, with events scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 19 to help businesses learn contracting tips and tricks, understand the scope of work at the Hanford cleanup site.

Sessions include a talk by Shaun Kennedy of the law firm Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker on negotiating subcontracts in federal procurements. Hanford leaders representing DOE and three of the site’s prime contractors will discuss the state of the former plutonium production facility. A Hanford procurement outlook will be presented, and additional breakout sessions are scheduled. Cost to attend is $100. Register at bridgingpartnerships.com.
