At Hanford: Services Contractor Picks COO

By Staff Reports

Hanford Site services contractor Mission Support Alliance (MSA) has selected Amy Basche, a longtime worker at the Department of Energy complex in Washington state, as its new chief operations officer.

Basche replaces Bob Wilkinson, who was promoted to president in October after prior company President Bill Johnson left for a corporate job with Leidos, one of MSA’s parent companies.

Basche most recently served as vice president for project support services at Washington River Protection Solutions, the Hanford waste tank farm contractor. In more than 25 years at the site, she has worked in project integration, project controls, prime contract management, risk management and facility planning, communications, employee concerns, and business services. She has a strong working relationship with all Hanford Site contractors and will help MSA identify opportunities, the company said.

Mission Support Alliance has a 10-year, $3 billion contract through May 25, 2019, to provide site-wide services at Hanford, including information technology, utilities, and security. The contractor is a partnership of Leidos, Jacobs, and Centerra.
