Hanford landlord contractor seeks sub to build fire station

By ExchangeMonitor

The Leidos-led landlord contractor at the Department of Energy’s Hanford Site in Washington state is looking for a subcontractor to build a new fire station at the former plutonium production complex site.

Hanford Mission Integration Solutions, which acts as a city manager for the Hanford Site, posted an online request for proposals Feb. 18 seeking a business to construct the L-888 Eastern Plateau Fire Station. That is according to a notice in the System for Award Management or SAM.gov.

Bids are due by 4 p.m. Pacific Time on April 14 and the DOE contractor hopes to award a contract by the end of July and see the fire hall substantially completed by February 2027, according to the notice.

Hanford Mission Integration Solutions was hosting an on-site walk-through on the project at 12 p.m. Pacific Time on Thursday Feb. 27.

“A mandatory, pre-proposal Conference/job walk,” is scheduled at Hanford on March 4 at 10 a.m. local time and questions on the solicitation should be emailed by 4:30 p.m. P.T. on March 18, according to the solicitation materials.

The primary contact for the solicitation is Jonathan Valenzuela, [email protected].
