Hanford Advisory Board Gets New Management Services Contractor

By ExchangeMonitor

Prosidian Consulting of North Carolina has been awarded a firm-fixed-price contract worth up to $2 million for management and facilitation services to the Hanford Advisory Board in Washington state. The Department of Energy contract is for a one-year-base period with four one-year options. Prosidian replaces EnviroIssues, which has offices in the Northwest, including near the Hanford Site. EnviroIssues has provided management and facilitation services to the advisory board for about 20 years.

Prosidian’s contract started this week, but the two companies will work together for the first month. “While the department has appreciated the contract performance provided by EnviroIssues, Prosidian Consulting’s bid was determined to provide the best value to the government, after a competitive bid process that included a technical evaluation and evaluation of price reasonableness,” said a memo to advisory board members distributed by EnviroIssues at DOE’s request.

The contractor performs administrative functions for the board, including audio services at meetings, recording meetings, preparing agendas, sending letters of advice, arranging meeting space, and taking notes at all committee and full board meetings.
