Giangiuli is New TechSource COO

By ExchangeMonitor

Department of Energy contractor TechSource Inc. has hired a new chief operating officer to manage its daily operations and lead its staff and business development efforts.

Jeffrey Giangiuli comes to the Los Alamos, N.M.-based science and engineering consulting company after 13 years at management consultant CALIBRE Systems, of Alexandria, Va., most recently as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He previously was employed at Management Strategies Inc. and subsequently co-founded Strategic Management Initiatives. Giangiuli started his career in the U.S. Navy.

He joined TechSource in April, according to his LinkedIn profile. In his new role, Giangiuli is the “Principal company executive responsible for all corporate administrative and technical delivery operations,” his profile states.

“Jeff brings to TechSource an impressive array of operational and financial management capabilities gained from hands-on experiences at both early-stage and mid-sized companies,” TechSource CEO V. Brian D’Andrea said in a press release. “As we work to evolve internal operations, expand our technical service offerings, and grow our customer base, we are pleased to have a steady hand at the wheel that has been through this before.”

TechSource employs more than 500 scientists, engineers, and other personnel with backgrounds in DOE national laboratories, federal technology operations, and the nuclear industry. On Friday, the Department of Energy announced the company would be a junior partner in Triad National Security: the new management and operations contractor set to take over the Los Alamos National Laboratory in September.
