The Government Accountability Office late last week denied two protests of the Army Corps of Engineers award of a contract for cleanup of the Maywood site. The Corps awarded the contract in May to Cabrera Services and CB&I, which prompted protests from two teams—Maywood Closure Company, LLC, and a team of Terranear and EnergySolutions. Those protests, which claimed that past performance was not evaluated properly, were denied Friday. The $450 million, nine-year base contract is to perform environmental remediation services at the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program site in New Jersey.
