The Government Accountability Office has denied a protest by a group called Oak Ridge Environmental Partners that challenged the Department of Energy’s $8.3-billion Cleanup Contract issued in October to United Cleanup Oak Ridge, a team led by Amentum and Jacobs, the current incumbents at the Tennessee site.
A Government Accountability Office (GAO) notice dated Tuesday said the Oak Ridge Environmental Partners protest was “denied.” No further details were provided in the notice.
Industry sources have said Oak Ridge Environmental Partners is led by Veolia, although Veolia has not confirmed that.
Honeywell is listed as the third partner in United Cleanup Oak Ridge (UCOR), the same acronym used for the current incumbent remediating the DOE site. The new UCOR team also includes teaming subcontractors RSI EnTech, Strata-G, Longenecker & Associates and Environmental Alternatives as teaming subcontractors.
The GAO typically posts a public version of its decisions, with confidential business details redacted, a week or two after the notice appears.
