After almost four years on the job, Frank Russo is stepping down as Bechtel National’s Project Manager for the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant, WC Monitor has learned. Russo’s departure is set to be formally announced in the next few days. Russo is Bechtel National’s longest serving project manager at the WTP, having came to the project in early 2010. The main candidate to replace Russo, WC Monitor has learned, is Peggy McCullough, who currently holds the position of Principal Vice President and Manager of Strategy and Business Development at Bechtel National, and has previously served as vice president and deputy general manager of Bechtel SAIC, which was responsible for the now-canceled Yucca Mountain geologic waste repository project, among other positions. Bechtel National declined to comment on the upcoming personnel change at the Hanford vit plant yesterday.
