FLUOR-B&W PORTSMOUTH NAMES NEW ACTING ES&H DIRECTOR

By ExchangeMonitor

Fluor-B&W Portsmouth, LLC, the cleanup contractor for the Portsmouth site, has named Jan Preston as its new acting Director of Environmental, Safety and Health, effective June 10. She replaces Tony Umek, who is returning to his previous position as Vice President and Executive Project Director of Fluor Federal Services.  Preston will also continue to hold her previous position as Director of Strategic Initiatives. Umek came to FBP early this year for “a very finite temporary assignment” to serve as acting ES&H director while the contractor worked to prepare for Phase 2 verification of its Integrated Safety Management System, according to FBP spokesman Jeff Wagner. In a release yesterday announcing the personnel change, FBP Site Project Director praised Umek for “his significant contributions to the [Portsmouth] D&D project during this critical period.”
