FLUOR-B&W PORTSMOUTH EARNS APPROX. $6.8 MILLION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2012

By ExchangeMonitor

Fluor-B&W Portsmouth, LLC, appears to have received the equivalent of a “B” grade from the Department of Energy for its work at the Portsmouth D&D project in Fiscal Year 2012, with the contractor having earned approximately 86.5 percent of the fee available for the year. For FY 2012, FBP earned approximately $6.85 million out of an available $7.92 million in award fee, according to information DOE released yesterday. DOE praised the contractor for accomplishing “many significant achievements” in FY 2012, such as “quickly and efficiently” assuming control of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant site following the return of facilities from USEC, the site’s previous lease holder. DOE also noted that in FY 2012, FBP “successfully completed demolition of an important administrative complex”; and began sampling and removal of process equipment from Portsmouth’s X-326 Building. The only “significant” deficiency DOE noted in its FY 2012 fee scorecard was, “Due to the complexities surrounding the return of the complete [GDP], the development of a performance measurement baseline was delayed.” The full FBP award fee scorecard can be found here.
