Exchange Monitor’s Nuclear Energy Security Summit is this week in Washington

The Exchange Monitor planned to hold its second annual Nuclear Energy Security Summit this week in Washington on June 26-27.

The event focuses on domestic and international deployment of U.S. nuclear technology, including power plants and fuel. There is no virtual attendance.

Among the scheduled speakers were Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-Tenn.), chair of the House Appropriations energy and water development subcommittee, who was due to deliver an 8:15 a.m. Eastern keynote speech at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center on Wednesday.

Christopher Hanson, the recently reconfirmed chair of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, was also the agenda for 1:00 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday.

Scheduled guest speakers include officials from the U.S. Departments of Defense, Energy, State, the U.S. Export-Import Bank and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency.

From industry, scheduled speakers include senior executives with Centrus Energy Corp., Kiewit Nuclear Solutions and Uranium Energy Corp.
