Environmental Management inks new 3-year technology deal

By ExchangeMonitor

The Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management has entered into a new business deal, worth up to $19.7 million over three years, with an existing provider of technology support.

DOE said in an Aug. 21 press release the department’s business support office for the chief information officer has signed a blanket purchasing agreement with Accenture Federal Services. Accenture is a contractor team made up of General Dynamics Information Technology., Unisys and Red River Computer Co.

The time and materials deal has a ceiling of about $19.73 million and runs from Aug. 24, 2024, to Aug. 23, 2027, according to the press release. The new deal replaces an existing agreement with Accenture Federal Services.

In April 2019, Accenture reached a $2-billion deal to help DOE move to more cloud-based services. The new agreement is primarily to support technology modernization and operations for Environmental Management’s headquarters and Office of Corporate Services.
