ENERGYSOLUTIONS UNDERGOES INTERNAL REORGANIZATION

By ExchangeMonitor

EnergySolutions has recently performed an internal reorganization that has resulted in the creation of three new business units. Alan Parker is president of the new Projects group, which oversees EnergySolutions’ government group and commercial projects, including the Zion nuclear power plant decommissioning project. Parker was previously head of EnergySolutions’ Government Group. John Christian is president of the new Logistics, Processing and Disposal (LP&D) group, which is made up of EnergySolutions’ processing and waste disposal operations. Christian was previously head of EnergySolutions’ Long-Term Stewardship Group.

Mark Morant has been named president of the New Products and Technology Group, which is made up of Energy Solutions’ “products, engineering and field/fuel pool services business,” according to spokesman Mark Walker. Morant will also continue to manage EnergySolutions’ U.K. business, Canadian operations and the company-wide business development group, Walker said yesterday. Morant previously held the title of President of EnergySolutions’ Global Commercial Group. The changes have been made to “increase operational efficiency,” Walker said in a written response.
