EnergySolutions created a new subsidiary, Management Consultants International, focused on regulatory issues in the nuclear and other industries, the company said this week in a press release.
Recent hire Pierre Oneid, who came over from Holtec International around May, will be the president of the new subsidiary, which aims to get clients in the “nuclear, energy, chemical, oil, gas, technology, and manufacturing sectors,” according to the press release.
The new shop’s website had four consultants listed as of deadline for RadWaste Monitor:
- Bruce Drawbridge, who around the turn of the millennium had a 15-year run as a CB&I vice president and, earlier in his career, as a top executive at Yankee Atomic Electric Co.
- Tom Nauman, a longtime nuclear-industry executive with experience in waste handling and decommissioning after a career of more than 30 years that included a long stint with Shaw Group, beginning before its 2013 acquisition by CB&I.
- John Sauger, who recently wrapped a 16-year run at EnergySolutions, including five as its president and chief nuclear officer.
- Sherrie Wright, who has worked in nuclear safety management and training at utilities including Florida Light and Power and Progress Energy, which was acquired by Duke Energy in 2012.
Oneid, meanwhile, will continue as the parent’s executive vice president, the company said in the release, “supporting EnergySolutions’ growth efforts.” EnergySolutions in 2023 added the former Williams Industrial Services Group, Atlanta, to its nuclear services business, buying the company out of bankruptcy.
