Seven small, disadvantaged businesses have won contracts to provide technical support services to the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management, the EM Consolidated Business Center announced yesterday. The winners include Trinity Engineering Associates; TerranearPMC; Aspen Resources Limited; DLE Technical Services; Boston Government Services; JG Management Systems; and North Wind Solutions. The new Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity-type contracts have a ceiling value of $4 million and are set to run for up to four years, consisting of a one-year base period and three one-year options.
The contracts were awarded on a non-competitive basis under the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Program and will replace task orders held by Performance Results Corporation, Project Enhancement Corporation and Link Technologies, Inc., according to EMCBC spokesman Bill Taylor. Services to be provided under the new contracts include assistance in developing tank waste strategies and technologies; policy guidance for transportation safety, operations, and packaging management; environmental assistance to accelerate the removal of above-ground transuranic waste at the Los Alamos National Laboratory; assistance related to tank waste management, spent nuclear fuel and excess nuclear materials; assistance developing materials, studies, and reports pertaining to EM project management practices and programs; assistance related to safety and quality assurance; and assistance related to construction project reviews and peer reviews.
