The No. 2 manager at the Department of Energy’s nuclear cleanup office will keynote a Tennessee-based organization’s virtual Business Opportunities Conference this morning.
Todd Shrader, principal deputy assistant secretary in the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management, addresses the Energy, Technology and Environmental Business Association’s gathering at about 10:30 a.m. Eastern time.
Shrader is likely to give an overview of remediation progress at many of DOE’s Cold War nuclear cleanup sites, including the completion of demolition at the East Tennessee Technology Park, the old K-25 uranium enrichment complex at the Oak Ridge Site in Tennessee.
In addition to Shrader, Brigadier General Stacy Jo Huser, the principal assistant deputy administrator for military application for the National Nuclear Security Administration, will moderate a discussion on operations at the agency that oversees the U.S. nuclear stockpile.
Norbert Doyle, the DOE Environmental Management deputy assistant secretary for acquisition and project management, provides the latest rundown on contract procurement by the cleanup office.
