DRAFT RFP FOR NEW HANFORD 222-S LAB CONTRACT COMING SOON

By ExchangeMonitor
A draft Request for Proposals for the new contract to manage Hanford’s 222-S Laboratory is set to be issued within the next “15 to 30 days,” the Department of Energy said yesterday. The new contract is being set-aside for small businesses, and is expected to be “a hybrid contract that includes fixed provide with award fee and labor hour contract line items (CLINS),” DOE said in a notice, adding that the new contract is set to run for up to five years, with one two-year base period and three one-year options. A final RFP for the new contract is “tentatively anticipated” to be issued within 60 days “in or around the 3rd quarter of fiscal year 2014,” with an award to be made “in or about” the fourth quarter of FY 2014, DOE said.
