DOE TO SEEK SMALL BIZ FOR NNSS ENVIRONMENTAL WORK

By ExchangeMonitor

The Department of Energy yesterday posted its plans to launch a small business procurement for environmental characterization and remediation.  A team of Navarro Research and Engineering and INTERA has held the environmental characterization and remediation contract at Nevada since 2009. For a follow-on contract the Department is considering a cost plus award fee contract with performance incentive fee, with an estimated start date in September 2014, according to a draft performance of work statement released yesterday. “NNSA is seeking Statements of Capabilities from small businesses for an anticipated requirement to provide environmental characterization and remediation services at designated corrective action sites at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) and parts of the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) and Tonopah Test Range (TTR),” states a sources sought notice. “The requirement will include waste acceptance services to be performed at the NNSS and at waste generator sites across the DOE Complex.”
