The procurement center for the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental holds its first so-called “Reverse Industry Day,” online in May, a move sought by the Government Accountability Office.
The virtual Reverse Industry Day is scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern Time on May 4, according to a Monday notice from the DOE Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center in Cincinnati.
During the two-hour-plus online session, two panels of industry representatives will discuss how companies decide whether to bid on business “and other issues and perspectives across the procurement lifecycle,” according to a DOE announcement.
The Reverse Industry Day, being co-hosted by the Professional Services Council, a federal contractor advocacy organization that has helped coordinate such events since 2015, according to DOE.
The Government Accountability Office recommended this type of event in a January report focused on perceived unfairness in DOE procurements.
