The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has submitted a request for information (RFI) on behalf of the Office of Environmental Management (EM) to aid in the acquisition of qualified contract support services. These support services will ultimately serve to provide Assistance Developing Policy and Guidance on Regulatory Compliance and Assistance Developing Tank Waste Strategies and Technologies for EM. Responses from interested firms shall be submitted via email to Jodi Gordon, Contracting Officer, at [email protected] no later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on July 9, 2015.
According to the RFI, the DOE has solicited information from potential qualified firms, under the Small Business Act, to aid EM find support specified in the following areas; Radioactive Waste Management, support to the Low-Level Waste Disposal Facility Federal Review Group, support to the Internal Remedy Review Integrated Process, Support reviewing documentation related to the Hanford Tank Farms in support of current criticality strategy or as a technical basis to propose a revised strategy, support reviewing available tank characterization, waste transfer, and bench scale studies in support of revised Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC) for the Waste Treatment Plant (WTP) at Hanford, Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Related Matters.
