DOE SHUFFLING MANAGEMENT AT HANFORD

By ExchangeMonitor

A senior-level management shuffle is in the works at the Department of Energy’s two main offices that oversee the cleanup of Hanford. Stacy Charboneau, who is currently the Deputy Manager at the Office of River Protection, is set to move to the Richland Operations Office, where she will serve as Assistant Manager for Safety and Environment. Charboneau will replace Ray Corey, who will move to serve as Richland’s Assistant Manager for River Plateau. Corey will replace Jonathan Dowell, who in turn will move to the Office of River Protection to replace Charboneau as Deputy Manager.

The management changes, which are set to go into effect Oct. 7, are intended to “expand the breadth and depth of capabilities, experience and skills within our SES [Senior Executive Service] leadership teams at RL and ORP,” Richland Manager Matt McCormick and ORP Manager Kevin Smith said in a message to employees yesterday. “Having multiple Department of Energy site offices at Hanford provides us with the flexibility and opportunity to continue building the skills and capabilities of our senior executives … and to prepare them for future roles at this site or elsewhere in the complex,” McCormick and Smith said.
