The Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge Office is seeking a small business to provide support for oversight and lease administration for facilities being used by USEC as part of its American Centrifuge efforts, according to a sources sought notice posted yesterday. USEC has an American Centrifuge Technology and Manufacturing Center in Oak Ridge, which is producing components under a DOE cost-share program set to wrap up at the end of the year. In addition to coordinating lease activities, the contractor would perform progress reviews of centrifuge technology development and assess status milestones as part of USEC’s agreement with DOE under the research, development and deployment program. The Department’s notice is focusing on an 8(a) certified small business located in Tennessee, and responses are due on Oct. 15.
