The Department of Energy (DOE) is seeking a small business contractor to offer cybersecurity support to its Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS), according to a sources sought solicitation posted last week. The contractor will “provide technical and administrative support resources to maintain the applications and infrastructure supporting the mission and programmatic requirements of EHSS” at DOE headquarters in Washington, D.C., the solicitation says. Work will include “implementation of EHSS’s e-GOV, Information Technology (IT) planning, and program architecture initiatives; ongoing mission related information systems support, and security for EHSS mission related information systems,” it says.

The contractor’s priorities will focus on cyber vulnerability mitigation, followed by system patching, troubleshooting, account administration, and development activities, according to the performance work statement. The DOE plans to issue an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, time-and-materials contract estimated to be worth up to $45 million over five years. This solicitation, however, only supports market research and does not constitute a request for quotation.
