DOE Seeking Small Business Teams for Protective Force Services at Nevada Site

By ExchangeMonitor

The Department of Energy (DOE) is seeking a small business or small business-led team, or joint venture sources to perform protective force services at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS), the Remote Sensing Laboratory, and the North Las Vegas Complex that includes the National Nuclear Security Administration headquarters at the site, according to a solicitation posted last week. The protective force, which secures nuclear material, equipment, classified information, and personnel, is authorized to include 180 security police officers and 24 duty officers, the solicitation said.

The contract is expected to be a fixed price/time and materials hybrid type contract for five years worth approximately $270 million, DOE said. The solicitation estimates that a request for proposals will be released in the third quarter of fiscal 2016. Interested parties must submit a statement of capability via email to Justin Burgess at [email protected] by March 16.
