DOE Schedules Second National Cleanup Workshop

By ExchangeMonitor
The Department of Energy has scheduled its second National Cleanup Workshop for Sept. 14-15 of this year at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Va.  “The workshop will bring together senior DOE executives, DOE site officials, industry executives, and other stakeholders to discuss [the DOE Office of Environmental Management’s] progress on the cleanup of the environmental legacy of the nation’s Manhattan Project and Cold War nuclear weapons program,” according to a DOE press release.

The 2015 conference features over 350 attendees, including high-level DOE officials, lawmakers, contractors, and officials from state, tribal, and local governments. This year’s event is being organized in conjunction with the Energy Communities Alliance and the Energy Facility Contractors Group.

Additional details about the 2016 workshop can be found here.
