The Department of Energy this week released a final Request for Proposals for technical and administrative support services for Building 55 at the Denver Federal Center in Colorado. The fixed-price contract is being set aside for 8(a) small businesses, has an estimated value of $5-$10 million, and has an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract line item for potential work on records classification and declassification, according to a DOE statement. Support areas also include security services, documents and record management, information resource management and facility management. Questions are due Jan. 23, while proposals are due Feb. 11. Contract award is anticipated for the third quarter of 2014, according to DOE’s acquisition forecast.

Building 55 is used for operation of the DOE Office of Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center’s Classification Office, its support functions, and the maintenance and management of classified and litigation records from the former Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site. Similar services are currently being provided by PM Tech under a contract set to expire Sept. 16, 2014.
