DOE Inks New Deal With Savannah River Site Tech Support Contractor

The Department of Energy’s this week inked a new contract with S&K Logistics to continue providing technical support services for the Savannah River Site near Aiken, S.C.

The deal is is worth up to $21.7 million, which includes about $9 million for the base year and an additional $12 million if an option is exercised for an additional year.

S&K Logistics is a tribally owned firm of the Flathead Nation in northwestern Montana. A staff of about 70 employees will be on site, providing daily administrative support, government vehicle fleet management, and general office services, a Savannah River Site spokesperson said. The company will also provide information technology systems support, software development, and computer help desk operations.

The new contract will begin Jan. 14 and comes after a 23-month deal for the same work by S&K, its first contract at Savannah River SRS. That contract was valued at $15.7 million.
