DOE EXTENDS DUE DATE FOR BIDS ON NEW WASTE TRACKING CONTRACT

By ExchangeMonitor

The Department of Energy has extended the deadline for bids for the new support services contract for the Department’s Transportation Tracking and Communications System to Sept. 11, from a previous due date of Aug. 27. The extension was included in a brief amendment issued to the Request for Proposals for the new contract earlier this week. The purpose of the new contract is to provide support to DOE’s TRANSCOM system, which monitors shipments of transuranic waste and other materials. The period of performance for the 8(a)-certified set aside is one year, with four one-year option periods.
