The Department of Energy this week awarded the contract for infrastructure support services at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant to incumbent Swift & Staley. The largely firm-fixed-price contract has a three month base period with a 22-month option period. The follow-on contract was set-aside for small businesses, with a size standard of $38.5 million. The procurement received five bids, according to a DOE release.
It comes after the Department released in October the final RFP for the contract. “Infrastructure support services to be provided under this contract include surveillance, maintenance and repair of facilities; janitorial services; grounds maintenance, snow removal, and pest control; roadway/parking lot maintenance; computing, telecommunication, and cyber security; fleet management; real and personal property management; records management and document control; safeguards and security; environment, safety, health and quality program; and training services,” DOE said in a release.
