The Energy Department next week will shed more light on its procurement strategy for management and operations of the Savannah River Site near Aiken, S.C., with the release of a request for information about the work.
The request for information, the next drizzle of data in the procurement cycle after a draft statement of work the agency posted online, should appear a week before DOE hosts prospective bidders on site for an industry day and one-on-one meetings from Oct. 24-26, the agency wrote in a Friday press release.
Those interested in attending the industry day and one-on-one meetings with DOE officials should send a registration request to [email protected], the agency stated on its procurement website.
DOE has not yet said when it will release even a draft solicitation for the next Savannah River Site management and operations contract. The current deal, held by the Fluor-Honeywell-Newport News Nuclear triumvirate, and worth nearly $9.5 billion, expires on July 31, 2018.
