DESPITE BENGHAZI RETRACTION, GRAHAM STILL PLANNING HOLD ON NOMINEES

Though CBS’ “60 Minutes” Friday retracted a report on Benghazi that helped spark Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-S.C.) plans to place a hold on all Administration nominees, Graham yesterday reaffirmed his threat. Graham said on CNN’s “State of the Union”on Sunday that he will still press the Administration to allow Congress to interview five survivors of the 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya, noting that he has been trying for a year without placing holds. On Friday CBS said it should not have trusted a key source who claimed to be at the scene of the attack. Graham announced the hold threat soon after the original “60 Minutes” story aired in late October. A hold could affect pending nominees Frank Klotz to head the National Nuclear Security Administration and Elizabeth Robinson to Department of Energy Under Secretary for Management and Performance.
