Brandon Weathers is headed back to Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board headquarters in Washington after wrapping up a four-year stint as a resident inspector at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, the board said recently.
Weathers now will join the independent federal nuclear inspector’s Nuclear Programs and Analysis group, the board wrote in a recent report on the Oak Ridge Site.
Weathers has been with the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) since 2016. Prior to his time as a resident inspector in Tennessee, he was board’s Y-12 Cognizant Engineer. Before joining the agency, he worked for engineering consultancy MPR Associates, Washington, and Atlanta-based utility Southern Co.
