CREEDON TO APPEAR BEFORE SENATE ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE NEXT WEEK

By ExchangeMonitor

Madelyn Creedon, the Obama Administration’s pick to be the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Principal Deputy Administrator, will appear before the Senate Armed Services Committee next week for her confirmation hearing. Creedon will testify alongside Army Under Secretary nominee Brad Carson and Air Force Assistant Secretary for Acquisition selection William LaPlante at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 16 in Room SD-G50 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. While Creedon was among dozens of nominees that were returned to the Administration and promptly resubmitted to the Senate this week because the chamber adjourned in December, she had not had a confirmation hearing unlike NNSA Administrator nominee Frank Klotz, who appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee in September. Creedon currently remains in her position as the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Global Strategic Affairs.
