Correction

The final test run early in 2020 of the U.S. Energy Department’s Integrated Waste Treatment Unit (IWTU) will employ a waste simulant rather than actual radioactive waste, as indicated in a Nov. 8 article in Weapons Complex Monitor.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
