Correction

The 3 gallons of low-activity radioactive waste the Hanford Site in Washington state shipped in October to a nearby Perma-Fix Environmental Services facility have been processed and shipped to the Waste Control Specialists site in Andrews County, Texas. A March 2 article gave an incomplete picture of the status of the waste.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
