The story “Va. Gov. makes appointment to low-level waste commission” [Weapons Complex Morning Briefing, Jan. 06, 2025] should have said that the Southeast Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Compact allows member states to ship waste to disposal sites in Texas and Utah, and that the compact’s member-states are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Virginia.
