The story “Consent-based interim storage facility remains years away” [Weapons Complex Morning Briefing, June, 4, 2024] should have said DOE plans to open the consolidated interim storage site by 2040 and a deep underground disposal site might not open until decades later.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
