An article in the July 17 Weapons Complex Monitor overstated the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the three counties surrounding the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site in South Carolina. The article mistakenly reported the total possible infections, which includes confirmed and estimated cases, as reported by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. The total confirmed cases for Aiken, Barnwell, and Allendale counties was 1,472 as of this week.
