Clean Coal Technologies Inc. Moves Toward Commercialization

By ExchangeMonitor

Following successful testing at AES’s coal fired utility in Oklahoma, New York-based Clean Coal Technologies Inc. announced Friday that it will move its test plant to a yet-to-be-determined permanent location. CCTI’s technology, “Pristine” coal, is designed to remove moisture and volatile matter from coal, resulting in a cleaner-burning fuel.

“The results of the testing have exceeded all our expectations and the clean and stable end product is truly a great achievement,” Robin Eves, CCTI president and CEO, said in a press release. “We now have the appropriate level of quality data and knowledge to commence the design and engineering on the first commercial module.” The company expects commercial contracts to commence in May or June.
