B&W’S REICHERT MOVES FROM DUF6 PROJECT TO NO. 2 SPOT AT PANTEX PLANT

B&W executive Michelle Reichert has been named the Deputy General Manager at the Pantex Plant after nearly two years as the B&W’s number two official on the Department of Energy’s depleted uranium hexafluoride conversion project. Reichert last week replaced retired Gen. Rod Johnson, who moved to Y-12 in the wake of the security breach there last year, though B&W Pantex officials did not confirm the move until yesterday. Before serving as the Deputy Manager of B&W Conversion Services, LLC, on DOE’s DUF6 Project, Reichert was the Vice President of Environment, Safety and Health at the Y-12 National Security Complex. During a long career at Y-12, she also served as the manager of analytical chemistry operations, department manager of the radioassay laboratory, program manager for Y-12’s Modernization Program, manager of enriched uranium metalworking production, and manufacturing compliance manager.
