Bids on DOE EM Technical Services Contract Due by July 20

By ExchangeMonitor

Vendors planning to bid on a new consolidated technical support services contract for the Energy Department’s Office of Environmental Management’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., and other EM sites, should submit their bids no later than July 20.

The DOE Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC) issued the final request for proposals (RFP) for technical support on Thursday. The RFP is designed as a competitive U.S. Small Business Administration’s 8(a) solicitation, according to the EMCBC press release.

The Energy Department office expects to issue an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract with firm-fixed-price and time-and-material task orders.

To the maximum extent possible, technical support services for EMCBC and EM headquarters are being consolidated, DOE said in a request for information (RFI) issued in April 2017.

The RFP indicates the winning bidder will provide technical support services in areas affecting security, safety, emergency preparation, construction, decommissioning, demolition,  project management, and communications.

Prospective bidders should submit any questions by June 14 to Marcella Wolfe at [email protected]v.

The award will probably be made by Dec. 10, according to the cover letter attached to the RFP.
