AtkinsRéalis nuclear unit stays in-house with interim prez

By ExchangeMonitor

Oak Ridge, Tenn.,-based AtkinsRéalis US Nuclear said Thursday it has selected a top legal officer, Jeff Kendall as its interim president replacing Joe McBrearty, who was chosen as acting president this summer.

Kendall joined the AtkinsRéalis subsidiary in 2017 as general counsel and has also served as acting chief operating officer and vice president for legal, procurement and contracts, the company said in a Thursday press release.

Kendall’s appointment becomes effective Nov. 4, according to the release. McBrearty will be leaving AtkinsRéalis in early November, a spokesperson said.

While AtkinsRéalis US Nuclear searches for a permanent president, Kendall will lead AtkinsRéalis’ nuclear operations, including engineering, waste management, transportation, and disposal technologies, according to the press release.

Prior to AtkinsRéalis, Kendall helped lead environmental policy and regulatory affairs at the New Mexico Environment Department.
