The Nuclear Regulatory Commission found no violations or deviations for the period from July 1 through Sept. 30, 2014, the agency told contractor CB&I AREVA MOX Services in an Oct. 16 letter. The NRC releases quarterly reports on the project based on the findings of its resident inspection team on whether construction activities are conducted according to its construction authorization. “For the fourth consecutive quarter, our staff and employees at the MOX project have met the requirements of the NRC inspectors, which is a credit to their dedication to the project,” Kelly Trice, president and CEO of CB&I AREVA MOX Services, said in a statement. “This is the first of its kind non-proliferation project for the United States, and our employees dedicate themselves to the core values of safety and quality assurance.”
