Hanford Richland Office Announces Staff Promotion

Jeff Frey has been named assistant manager for safety and environment at the Hanford Richland Operations Office (RL), a senior executive service position. He had been serving in that position in an acting capacity. Frey previously was assistant manager for safety and environment and served as the assistant manager for mission support. He also has managed the RL Office of Project Performance and Regulatory Integration and served as project manager for the Department of Energy’s National High Level Waste Tanks Technology Development Program. Frey was a senior integrated safety program manager at the Pantex Plant in Texas. He began his federal career as an intern at RL in 1989. “Jeff will use his highly diverse professional and technical background and more than 26 years of federal service in various leadership roles to lead RL’s considerable safety and environmental responsibilities at Hanford,” said RL Manager Stacy Charboneau in a message to staff late this week.
